    Hi,
I'm researching working on a cruise ship. Does anyone know if you need a visa to apply for work on some of the international cruise liners? Also how important is a seaman's book?

    Cheers

Hi, I am also going to work on the cruise ship as a Beauty Therapist. You have to apply 4 a C1/D visa to get at sea. Hope thats helped you. Good Luck.

    Moved to work and jobs!

I was also looking into this myself.
How would I go about applying for a job on a cruise ship? Is there any particular agency to use?

Still looking into it. Alot of people who have experience say that agencies r a waste of time & to go direct. I found www.workoncruiseships.com free report a good place to start.

    Hi,

There is a separate visa required for people working on cruise ships. With this the crew ship have limited access to the port of call.

    Hi op
Don't worry about visa till you get the job, the employer will help you get one. No harm having a passport if you don't have one.
Do a search of this section lots of info on there already.
One free agency in uk cast-a-way.co.uk got lots me info on that site.
    Good luck.

    Nothing to do with agency
