Hey, wondering is it possible to upgrade to version 2.2.1 or whatever the last update before 3.0 was now? Seems I missed this upgrade and can only see 3.0 on iTunes. Don't want to pay for the update to 3.0 as planning on getting a 3gs eventually. This is for an iPod touch by the by.

Normally if you want to do anything thats not strictly according to the Apple way of thinking (would you not have to pay for 2.2.1 anyway? :)) www.iclarified.com is a good place to start...after you come to this forum of course...

Thanks - not sure about paying for 2.2.1, I have 2.2 (paid for 2.0). I don't think I've paid for any other updates, so assumed I wouldn't have to pay except to go to 3.0.

    Will check out that site.

I too have an iPod Touch, 1st Gen.
I got the alert in iTunes about updating to 2.2.1 which would have cost me. I went another route :D and also did the Jailbreak.
When 3.0 came out I did likewise.

So they did charge for going from 2.2 to 2.2.1?

Won't bother with it so - thanks folks.
