problem with tiger woods 10 on psp

just bought tiger woods 10 and my psp keeps saying i cannot play until i update the software and when i try do it, it keeps saying my battery is too low but its fully charged, has anyone else came across this?does this mean i cannot play it?

Try to do it while it's plugged in and charging maybe? This has never happened to me before mind you. What PSP are you on?
