Hi myself and my parents bought a house together 10 years ago my parents and myself wife and 2 kids live there. It is our sole residence
both my parents are in their 70's and we pay the mortgage so they want to transfer the property into mine and my wifes names as we are the ones paying the mortgage. Our solicitor said it would be better in my name only to avoid tax and stamp duty for my wives half even though she would be a first time buyer, however the mortgage lender wants the 2 names on the deeds for the mortgage even though my husband could eventually add me to the deeds. We just would not have the money to pay 14k any ideas:confused:
