    Hi folks

Regarding Rossa Motors on the Ennis road Limerick does anybody have any experience of them. I need to get a sizeable amount of work done my car for an NCT and they have quoted me a very competitive price....Certainly the best price in and around the Limerick city region. I believe that they aren't around too very long but may well be wrong in saying this.

Could anybody advise on how good they are or indeed advise on any garage arond Limerick (city or county) who are worth a go.

Thanks in advance for all responses

I'd recommend "Adrian's Garage" in Castlemungret Business Park (opposite the cement factory), 085-1569729. Very good, especially on diagnostics. Has solved several weird engine management problems for me. He is ex RS Autoshop, opened up on his own about 2 years ago. Tell him John sent you !

Have heard good things about Adrians garage and I've also used RS Auto's myself for Alfa's. Very good guy and excellent work on the cars - which were not simple services either....:(

Jeez Henry, you are fair cynical ! Just as well my post count is >> 1 or you'd be having a right go at me ! How do we know you are not Mike from RS Autos for that matter (but then he is more likely to be a Mercedes fan than a Ford fan ... ) !

For the record, Adrian is Polish, and I'm Irish, so I'm not Adrian ! Stevie asked for advice on a garage in the area, and since these guys have done a good bit of work for me and for people I have referred, I thought I'd give them a mention.

Stevie, if you want a recommendation for a mechanic in the Ardnacrusha area or one in the Ballyneety area in preference to the Dock Road area I can PM you some names / numbers.

Thanks very much for the advise folks and it is much appreciated. Story is work is at a standstill on the car at the moment. Reason being I am having difficulty retreiving the log book from the guy I bought the car of. I do have another thread going on this also. I rang the seller yesterday and have being assured that the car is in his name now and he will be transferring it into my name straight away (he deals in cars and had bought it off someone else). It is kind of a long winded story really but I will be in contact with Shannon and expect it to be transferred into my own name in the next few days as I know they have a quick turnover at the moment. Otherwise if not I may be left with no option but to involve the guards as I am getting very little co-operation from the seller.

Well thats a different story but the long and the short of it is Im just holding of on repairs till I get that sorted in case the worst come to the worst and I cant get the car on the road. In any event I dont have tax on the car to drive it to any garage. I have done basics like the brake pads and discs and drop links myself and hopefully will get the rest sorted when I get log book and taxed. I will try all the garages ye mentioned and whichever quotes the best price for the work I need to do it'll come down to. In the meantime its catching the bus to work in the lashing rain for me:eek:
