Anyone else think the draw was a disgrace the way it was done and when Christy Cooney was picking to see who was out at home first , he placed his hand on the team that won yesterday , mixed the teams around in the pot without taking his hand of the team that won yesterday and then dawed them out , it was a joke and a disgrace , and he never even tried to hide what he was doing , I know Westmeath are the only exception to this but i think he made a mistake on this one.

Think the GAA should ba ashamed of themselves the way the draw was carried out , and that the draw will have to be looked at in the future to stop this from happening again

Shame on the GAA for this , watch the draw again if you don't believe me.

To be honest, I feel the Rd 1 winner (the supposed weaker county) should have home advantage.

I think there was similar controversy when Longford played Kerry in Killarney (I think) back in 2006.

Its widely believed that the draw is fixed. In fact, I think Jason Sherlock announced Dublin were playing Armagh in 2003 at a Childline concert before the draw was even made or announced.

Then there have been other conspiracy theories:

Dublin's easy draw in 2004 because the GAA were left reeling after Westmeath knocked them out and there was the prospect of another Summer without the Dubs filling Croker. The GAA made sure they got back by giving them the easiest draw imaginable in each round. Something like London, Leitrim and Longford I think it was. Then they even got Roscommon in the quarters. The easiest draw again.

The Ulster teams being drawn against each other. Just look at Monaghan Armagh and then Monaghan Derry this year. Ulster is alot stronger than the other provinces when it comes to having a good range of fairly decent teams so the big Ulster sides are usually drawn against each other in the early rounds of the qualifers so that they are out.

The charter, which you clearly didn't read, states that there are to be no rumours or accusations against GAA officials etc.
NO WILD ACCUSATIONS,ABUSE OR VITRIOLIC RUMOURS OF PLAYERS,REFEREES OR GAA OFFICIALS AND/OR GAA EMPLOYEES.

We're not a rumour mill here and it is quite clear that you haven't read the charter which I amended last summer after Galvingate and referees.Spreading rumours is as good as making them and thats a banning offense.

Have a week off to think about that.

    Banned for a week.

    Thread locked.

I advise posters to be very careful about matches being fixed or any other wild rumour that is unfounded relating to anything GAA.
