Holy hilarity was this one funny as heck. It had like everything a good comedy needs. Jack Black, Jack Black eating poop. Pee in face, hilarious. I don't think I've ever laughed so much in my life.

Maybe gunhappy just has a sense of humour which is a little more sophisticated than yours ;)

Dreadful film. One of the few films which I simply said no to half way through, in fact I do believe that it is only film I ever walked out of. While I was tired as hell before going in I thought the film would have enough laughs to keep me entertained and awake. I was wrong, I will however give it another go but I have a feeling that second time around it will still be a dreadfil piece of trash.

Please tell me you're just really really good at being sarcastic?! I've no desire to watch this movie. Because of Jack Black being a main character.

He was moved to the sidelines in Tropic Thunder which actually made his role bearable and didn't cause him to overact.

And I'm sure the trailer contains the funniest parts of this flick.

The only movie I have been able to watch with Jack Black in it has been Tropic Thunder because he had such a minor role everything else he's been in has been muck.

Judging by trailers and reviews, this looks to be perhaps the worst, least funny film ever made. Frankly, I have better things to do with my time.

Some people go to see certain films based on what actor is in them.
    Denzel Washington
    Johnny Depp
    etc

Jack Black is the opposite for me.
Apart from King Kong I have hated him in every film I've seen from him.

My friend reviews films and had the misfortune of seeing this out of duty. Said it was quite possibly the worst film he has ever seen and the press screen was totally silent, not one laugh.

The one good thing about this movie is that it gave Jack Black and Michael Cera the chance to show their versatility in character acting. :pac:

At least it was better then The Hangover, Michael Cera + Jack Black Vs a bunch of nobodies.

least funny film ever made. .

Doubt it. I didnt even come close to laughing once during Shawshank Redemption.

Bunch of nobodies in the Hangover? The Hangover has a far more respectable comedic and dramatic cast than Year One. It also features dozens of jokes, pretty much all of which hit the mark.

I think we might have hit on the issue, the op is 12.:)

Well I was assuming that the 69 in his name was either his date of birth or a rather childish attempt at humour. If he's 12 then it would explain a lot.

Back on topic, watched all of Year One last night, really wish that I hadn't.

Do I need to respond to this...?

    Should I...?

    Can I resist...?

Ok then....everytime I hear the VO at the start of SR, I crack up. I just can't help myself. And then I laugh uncontrollably for the next 2 hours and 20 mins. Sometimes, I watch it a second time.....I could go on...:D

Nobodies? Ignorance is bliss I guess:rolleyes:

Year One: 17% rating on rottentomatoes.com, €32 million box office

the Hangover: 78% rating, #139 on imdb.com top 250, €183 million box office so far

Not even at the piss-poor predictable plot and mawkish sentimentality? you must be a man of stone!
