Hi, not sure if this is the forum for me or not. I,m looking for a printer to do A1 or A2 size. These things are bloody expensive I've come to realise. Anyone know where one of these might be picked up for reasonable money. Also is the device I'm looking for actually called a plotter or is this a different piece of kit altogether.. Thanks.

It is called a plotter. Try contact the Irish Print Federation and see if one of their members are selling any.

The IPF is run by Terry Cummins. You could try contacting him via the Printers Buy and Sell http://www.printersbuyandsell.com/ or 087-9873884. Terry has lots of contacts and should be able to point you in the right direction.

    Hi Biddyearly,
    Thanks for the enquiry.
The plotter plots up to A2 and even larger to A1 and A0 sizes.
The plotter is Hp Rikadenki. It cost me €5000 when I bought it.
Its in very good condition with little output done.
    The asking price is €1550.

The advantage with this plotter is that it is is penless and therefore doesnt require ink cartridges and prints using infra red light. Maintenance therefore does not cost. It has been serviced and is in very good condition and order with little output done. The reason I am selling it is I have changed career so no use for it anymore and its taking up too much space.

You can let me know if you are interested as there is good interest in it.

    Regards

What is the exact model of your printer. Where can it be viewed. Approximately how old is the plotter. Can it plot AutoCad drawings?

    Hi Biddyearly

Its a RIKA DENKI model TY101, (HP compatible driver).

Yes it plots ACAD Drawings thats what I have used it for all of the time.
Houseplans, mechanical drawings, any kind of drawing.

Its a couple years old around three or 4.
In very good working order is all I can say.

Where are you based? Do you or want to exchange contact numbers or
email to view and discuss it if you are interested on it.

    Regards
