Any reason why the logo on the front of his cap changes between TW and Nike.

There seems to be no consistency to which he wears.

    To me it seems strange.

I could understand if he wore TW on Thurs/Fri and Nike on Sat/Sun

The old deal with Nike was that he wore the TW on a Thurs/Fri and wore the conventional Nike Swoosh on the weekend but that may have changed of late.

Just a thought but why does nearly every bloody golfer wear a golf cap and most of them seem to think that it must stay on their heads at all times ??
I saw some golfers being interviewed in the press tent and they were wearing their caps !
When they finish a round they take off the cap to shake hands and some of them whip the cap back on with a side look to the camera to say "boy I had better get that back on to show the logo".
Are they that desperate for cash that they are contracted to wear a cap at all times ,its something that I find very strange.

Its not strange at all. Players are walking billboards. The more brand exposure they achieve the more money they get. Its all part of the deal that they get the sponsors into every shot be it photographs, tv interviews or press conferences, pretty much anywhere they can be seen. Sponsors expect it to happen.

Harrington is a master at it. If you look at some of the interviews he did over the last two years in the off season which were filmed in his house (for end of season review shows and the like) you'll see the the cap with FTI across it on the table beside the claret jug and in the background somewhere you'll see the wilson golf bag in a corner of the room, all the while he is wearing his kartel and Bank of ireland jumper with a couple more sponsors on it.

Maybe they're just thinking "boy i'd better get that back on, cause I've pretty bad hat hair after 18 holes and there's millions of people watching" :)

Its the life of the modern sports man, did you notice that Roddick and Federer (even after 4 hours of exhausting tennis) put on their watches straight away after the match was over, so they had them on for the presentation pictures and exposure.

Eh, that's the deal! They're paid so much to wear the logo that the sponsor puts it in the contract that the hat stays on for post-round interviews, and basically any other public golfing appearances. Of course, any player can choose not to wear a hat, but they forgo the income. You'll even notice in adverts for one company, the golfer is wearing logos for another company (though usually not a competing brand) because it's in his contract. (FTI visible in the Wilson ad, Jumeriah visible in Rory's Loch Erne ad)

Watch out for watches too. You might notice one of the first thing some players do as they walk off the last green is rummage in the bag for their watch and put it on befor the interviews start. Some players (like Mickelson) have even worn a watch while playing - all because the watch makers are prepared to pay big bucks for the top guys doing the above.

Like it or not, these little things are worth a lot of money to brands, and they're prepared to pay for the exposure, and players are happy to be paid for this exposure. So while it can look a bit silly/gaudy, I don't see how you can complain. And if you do have a complaint, it should be with the players, not the brands, as the players are the ones who have agents seeking these big money contracts.

Personally I don't have an issue with it. Though I did chuckle at Mickelson having the balls to come out an openly say "I don't care what equipment I use, whoever pays me the most can have me from head to toe - putter to driver".
