US Navy C-9B 159113 arrived yesterday.

    BANNED for 48hrs.

This thread is NOT about discussing our neutrality, there's a politics forum for that stuff.

In fairness Maki, Neutrality is a military issue, and has been discussed here in the past.
    Unfair IMO

    DISCUSS IT HERE.

This thread is NOT about our neutrality, unless I'm completely missing something in the OP's thread.

We have both a political sub forum of this forum, and a dedicated political forum to discuss these matter's.

One more post on our neutrality in this thread and the poster will be banned for 1 week.

Zuiderzee consider this a warning issued.

    Now this is for everybody.

I've made this very clear in the past, this is a military forum and your behaviour here should reflect that. Warnings/Infractions and bannings will be awarded rapidly here, people would do well to keep this in mind.

You're derailing a thread. You helpdesk post fails to mention you tried to discuss neutrality in a thread for which that wasn't the topic. You've been told the appropriate place to post. All off topic posts, including this one, should be soft deleted, imho.

Boston mate, All I did was point out that I felt the suspension of updub was unfair. Dont think you need to worry about it.
I feel the topic for which he was suspended - and for which I have been warned is a valid issue here.

If you do a search - it comes up many times in this forum.
I've raised the issue at the help desk as advised, and will leave it with them.

??? Dont quite get what you mean, but if it is that this topic should be moved to politics of war, then a mod can do that fairly handy.
That would be more agreeable than suspensions and warnings

Issues of war and politics go in the politics of war forum. That is where neutrality belongs. The original thread topic was about the recent activity of rangers. People should be able to discuss military activity without having to comment on the political issues. If he started a thread relating to recent activity in chad, would it be ok to derail the thread into a discussion to do with Ireland's role within the UN, the morality of peace keeping, or even the French influence in the region. All these topics are somewhat related, but wouldn't be the topic of the thread. In the same vein neutrality is related to US activity on an Irish base, but irrelevant to the subject. If you want to discuss Irish neutrality, start another thread and stop derailing this one.

Then move the thread there as I suggested - although IMO the topics are related.
Suppose the UK, for example, were to be given a forward fighter operator base in Knock for Russian Naval operations - would percieved nutrality not be an issue??

I commented because I thought it was a bit much that a user was suspended for a tounge in cheek remark

Yes, but the mods can prune, or split threads - I wish they would do it more often in the political forums

But yes, because as you say yourself

Well thats a matter of opinion mate, and opinions are like arseholes - everyone except the president has one

Right I'm closing this thread while I consider some bannings.

Z, consider this a very stern warning here.

I won't tolerate you putting it up to me here. You've been warned about bringing this thread off topic by discussing a political issue in it.

I will not allow that otherwise I'll have every crack pot hippy feel they can come here to this forum and bring every thread off topic with their anti-military BS.

I've no idea what YOUR agenda is, but your cards are truely marked with me here.

You know where you can bring any issue's you have with the Moderators on this military forum to, use it and use it well.

    LOCKED.

OP, sorry it had to be done.

Some people think this forum is overly Moderated, I'll make it tight as a camels arse in a sand storm with a firm but firm hand from here on in.
