I was caught walking down my road with a open bottle of beer last night(I wasn't drunk,I was trying to catch the last bus into town and completely forgot I had it in my hand until the lads stopped me)

I didn't give them any grief or argue or anything but they still seemed pretty pissed off with me.

One of the garda's said that it will be the most espensive bottle of beer I'll ever had and said something about a £60 fine.

I showed them my age card and they took my name and address.

Will I get a fine in the post?

I'll just have to keep an eye out for the postman in the morning so

If the oul one finds out about this I will never hear the end of it!

Does the fine mean I'll have a criminal record or what?

Sorry if this sounds a stupid question but I've never been in any trouble with the Gardai before so I'm not sure.
