    Hey,

Just bought my first car (second hand) recently, a black volkswagon, which as is my first car I'm attempting to take extra care of her..

So I was raged to find the front badge was nicked during the week.

So just wondering what my next move should be.

Are they reasonably easy to replace and can you do yourself? (DIY glue job??)

I've no idea how scrappage yards operate (do you phone them to tell them what your looking for or do you have to look through them??)

If anyone has any previous experience or advice..thanks.

I remember in the early 90's my parents losing several of the badges from the front of their Jetta over that band!

Bet is sucked all your friend having cool badges like the beastie boys, but you could never steal one yourself.

Reminds me of a mate who wired a high cap sound system capcitor to the battery and then to the badge. He hasn't had trouble since. :pac:

    Thanks all,

I'll try Beastie Boys merchandise website & then ebay..

Sure like the sound of wiring the badge up too.

There was a time when VW in the UK would replace stolen emblems free of charge.

Count yourself very lucky, they could have nicked the car and left you the badge. :D
