Getting a phone jailbroken in Dublin?

    Hi guys,

    I recently bought a second hand second generation iPhone. I want to jailbreak it but for whatever reason redsn0w or quickpwn won't jalibreak it. Firmware 3.0 and I'm using an Intel iMac.

    At this stage I want to pay someone to jalibreak it for me. Are there any shops in Dublin that will jalibreak for me on the spot for a few quid?

    Read the dev teams blog, they haven't released the jailbreak for 3.0 yet

    Your wrong. 3.0 has been jailbroken for the Iphone 3G..

    Here is a good tutorial for the MAC on how to jailbreak and unlock:-

    Thanks for that but I'm still having the same problem. I follow the guide to the letter but I get as far as step 10 and then it stops. The 'waiting for reboot' screen appears on Redsn0w but goes no further.

    make sure your doing step 9 correctly. it sounds like your phone is not going into DFU mode correctly.

    Thanks for the offer dude, but coming through town today I saw a few shops with signs in the window saying 'i Phones unlocked here.' so I reckon I'll try one of them during the week.
