There was a load of talk about the new law rushed in to deal with jury and witness intimidation/tampering.

What was the maximum penalty for these offences before this law came in?
    What's the new maximum penalty?
Is it linked to the main charge? like a life sentence for jury tampering in a false imprisonment case as that's the max sentence for kidnapping?

If not shouldn't the maximum penalty for jury/witness intimidation be set very high?

IMHO, the minimun penalty should be the sentance for the crime the jury was considering PLUS a few years added on.

Can an accused person or their legal team obtain the names and addresses of jurors?

No that I am aware of but they could be followed home by someone I guess related to the defendant.

Certainly the names, since the jury members are called by name and sworn in.
