I was toying with ordering Watchmen on bluray at the end of the month, when I read the contents I was amazed to find it was not the directors cut I heard about (25 mins longer), so I assumed it will be coming out in a few months (if so I didn't want to buy it twice), when reading the review comments on Play.com one guy wrote the directors cut is coming out in US. I checked Amazon.com and indeed it was. After posting and packaging it worked out cheaper than the UK edition. I read other comments about other dvds released in the States that have more content (Terminator and Matrix blurays are 2 off the top of my head). Why not have the same in the UK, surely it must cost about the same to throw the data on the disc give or take a few cents. Is it a legal/licence thing, or do they just think we don't care and will take what we're given. From now on I will be checking what our American cousins are getting before purchasing anything from this side of the Atlantic.

Just order the US version like I did. It is like anything else, if people vote with their wallets, then companies may pay attention to what they want.

It is like the talk doing the rounds about the LOTR trilogy on blu ray. That the standard editions may be out around Xmas, but the extended editions would come out next year over here.
