Bus from Dublin to Armagh?

Hi there,

I'm planning to travel up to Armagh city on Wednesday next, July 8th, to attend a public lecture in the Planetarium. I plan to take public transport from Dublin, but I've checked the bus schedules and apparently I have to travel via Monaghan town and change in Monaghan for a bus to Armagh.

This seems a very long and slow route to take. Does anyone know if I could instead take -

1) The train to Newry and get a bus from Newry to Armagh?

2) A bus to Newry and connect to another bus to Armagh?

Finally, how far is the planetarium from the bus depot and centre of the city?

Hi there you didnt give a time from newry so i just picked a random time as an example on the basis you are getting the train to newry then bus to armagh, the info below is from www.translink.co.uk journey planner have posted it here but if it is too messy/ hard to read let me know specific times and i can do another search for you

So it IS possible then to take a train to Newry and connect with a bus to Armagh.

Where is the bus station in Newry? Perhaps it would be easier and better to get a bus to Newry so that I can connect with the bus to Armagh more easily? Or does the bus to Armagh go via Newry railway station?

Where is the bus station in Newry? The bus station is on canal quay in newry Perhaps it would be easier and better to get a bus to Newry so that I can connect with the bus to Armagh more easily? It is up to you man i would compare times for both the direct route and this way and see which fits better Or does the bus to Armagh go via Newry railway station? The bus to armagh goes from camlough station (thats the rail station) to canal quay then you will be changing bus see below for more timetables if you want aa specific time let me know
