    Has this been released yet?
They have an 'In Stock Now' for it, in GameStop

If it is released what are people opinions, I think it looks awesome.

It's out today as far as I know. I'm gonna try and rent it later I think. Getting decent reviews. Multiplayer's supposed to be good.

Played the first act, it's pretty good, some entertaining setpieces so far. A bit more tactical and slower paced than usual considering your weapons take that bit longer to reload and stuff. Nothing earth-shattering in it, but it's a really solid shooter with some nice touches. Haven't tried multiplayer yet.

supposedly it's meant to be superior to the original in nearly everyway, which I can't wait for as I loved the first one. Pity they dropped DX10 support for the PC, the DX10 support of the first one was one of the main reasons I moved over to Vista and initially got my first DX10 capable gfx card.

A lot of games don't seem to bothering to support DX10 anymore :(

Have any of yous played and completed the original?

I haven't played the original, I'm enjoying this one a lot though. Definitely worth a rental, still haven't tried multiplayer, which may tempt me to pick it up. The one thing I find bizarre though is that they didn't include a co-op mode. I'd have bought it without hesitation if there'd be a local co-op mode. Myself and a buddy have started getting into co-op modes lately and I've been keeping an eye out for good local co-op games.

    really enjoying this so far

we've had it in the office for the best part of 3 months and i only got to play it for the first time yesterday. is it just me or is it quite tricky compared to almost every other game of its ilk too?

Just had a couple of games of multiplayer there, playing the Wild West Legends mode. It's damn good fun. Either when you're playing on the Lawmen or Outlaws side.

Yeah they're frustrating alright, there's a few glitches in it too, and the way the screen kinda goes jagged when the camera moves quickly is jarring. It's still an enjoyable game though despite the flaws. They're not game-breaking at least.

Meh, the Hombre class is starting to spoil multiplayer for me at the mo'. It's seems like the balancing of classes is a bit off, the Legends matches are now becoming 'Who has the most Hombres' matches as more and more people unlock him. They've given the character above average health and speed, and a sawn off shotgun in each hand. Grand if you can keep him at a distance, but most of the legends matches require you to blow up something inside. It can take more than one shotgun hit to kill him. You can't even outrun him to keep him at a distance and exploit his weakness because he's as fast or faster than most classes. There's a reason every other game has the most powerful classes also the slowest.

Yes I know this seems hypocritical considering the way I've been going on about the perks in COD, but this is different, it's a class balancing issue and I'm just waiting for every game to devolve into 6 Hombres vs. 6 Hombres.

I'll probably figure out how to deal with 'em, but it's annoying having to pick a specific class just to deal with one character.

Has anyone got past the second duel, can anyone help?

I usually wait until about the 3rd time they take a step either left or right. Then move your hand down to just beside the gun and wait for the bell as soon as you hear it grab the gun and pull it up. Works for all the duels I have had so far anyway.

The duals get quite tough, but i noticed they are always at the same time in each one, so you can work out in conjunction with the in game music when the bell is gonna go and be ready for it. The duals get tougher the further into the game you get.

I've finished a play through already with one of the brothers and have started again on hard difficulty and am gonna be playing as the other brother now, all in all it's a good game, nice and varied, one gripe i have is that it's hard to see where some guys are that are shooting you sometimes. Apart from that, it's very enjoyable and satisfying, multiplayer is a blast too.

I found the second Duel the toughest too for some reason. Took loads of tries to get it, the rest of 'em I usually got in my second or third try, and towards the end in my first try. I think it's just a matter of getting used to them.

On an unrelated note, I'm not finding the Hombres as tough any more in multiplayer now I've unlocked the Gunslinger class and have gotten better at keeping them at a distance. The range their shotgun seems to have sometimes annoys me from time to time tho.

Awesome game bought it yesterday for 50euro, but i would advise you just to rent it as I have completed it already. Great story and awesome FPS :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,318 ✭✭✭padair

It did not take long to complete. It is one of them games where you will ant to go back and try it at a harder level. I finished it on Medium which was fairly handy and now getting through it on Hard. Snipers are a pain in the ass.

Also noticed the line accross the screen when there is fast movement. At first thought it was the TV. I had a few problems with multiplayer where the game keeps timing out. Hopefully there is a patch released soon.

How do you draw with xbox360 controller? I rented it last night so no instructions? I am stuck on the second duel.
