why did i get paid yesterday?

    Got paid yesterday but only a sub teacher. Can someone explain this? Got paid for 8 hours. No idea why.

    Are you on an 8 hour contract? Maybe it's wages from May? VECs can be slow enough with wages...

    No contract, had 20 hours subbing a week filling in for a teacher who was sick. No idea where it came from.

    It could be to do with bank holiday pay. As far as I can remember if you work more than 40 hours in the 5 weeks preceeding a bank holiday then you are entitled to pay. So this money could be connected with the June bank holiday ???
