Double points?

Was play COD:WAW earlier on taem death match and noticed that everytime I got a kill I was getting 20 points for it. Why??

I haven't played WaW but perhaps whoever owns the server tweaked the settings? Like I remember playing a game of COD4 where when you got 3 kills you got the Airstrike, etc.

Only play COD4 myself but they do sort of "special weekends", generally says it in the news box on the bottom left of the welcome screen when it is. You get double points for the ranking credits but you don't generally get double on your end game score.

Ya it's double points on WaW (don't play MW so don't know) this weekend because the second map pak was released this week.

No it's double XP due to the 4th of July celebrations in the US, couple of games are doing this, not sure about COD 4. The second mappack has been out a couple of weeks now, the only thing they've done with it, is that the maps have now been moved in with the core and hardcore maps so it means if someone on the team doesn't have the second map they won't be able to play.

The Last one a couple of weeks ago lasted until Wednesday night, which was great apparantly if you let your PS3 sitting in game you keep getting xp until you log off although thats what I read on the cod forums!

When a new map pack comes out its double XP for a week. On the first weekend of every month theres double XP on Friday , Saturday and Sunday.(Only applies to WaW)
