I was one of only three men last night in a cinema full of women (my girlfriend brought me) watching this film.

I must say it was one the saddest films ever.

Every woman was crying...it really did what it set out to do.

    Would recommend it!

A cinema full of crying women? How did you survive?

It looks alright. I don't like Diaz though.

Eugh, I wanted to see it but I was following the progress on the author of the actual novel's website and she, spupdily, sold all the rights to the production company and they changed the ending. Why they changed the ending is beyond me because it was one of those moments in the book that made it. So I have heard from people who have both read the book and saw the movie that its just not worth the watch.

I'm reading the book at the moment, and don't know the ending of the book yet, but still have been put off going to see the movie when I'm done reading due to this apparent change in ending.

I saw this last night and absolutely loved it - only found out today that the ending of the book was totally different and I'm glad I hadn't known beforehand or I would have been sorely disappointed! Although I have to say the ending of the movie was probably more realistic.

Brilliant acting all around, not a dry eye in the house (except for my OH, who started sniggering uncontrollably when one girl let a particularly loud sob, lol!)

I must be a freak. I was utterly depressed at the ending of Marley and Me, yet like Chocoholics boyfriend, I had difficult hiding my laughter at one girls yelps of crying at the end of this. I have more sympathy for dogs lol. :o

Kinda goes against her wishes against being forced to be treated. She was ready to go. And doesnt say if the kidney lasted her a decent amount of time.....

The novel's ending is slightly far-fetched but a better twist :D
Anna dies in a car crash, and her kidney is donated to Kate, who lives!
