Most Overrated Players in World Rugby

Well in your opinion who are they?

Heres a list of mine :

Paul O'Connell - As much as I respect the man he should never of been a Lions captain and it is questionable whether on current form if he should of even started. A great servant to Irish rugby but a very, very one dimensional player who simply refuses to offload or do anything out of the ordinary. One of the best players in the world? Not in my eyes.

Andy Powell - He was so hyped one would of thought he was going to single handidly destroy the bok pack but once again the hype wasn't justified. Powell got found out against the bigger, more physical boks that no matter how strong you are theres always someone stronger

Ronan O'Gara - It wasn't too long ago that pundits and fans were calling him the second best outhalf in the world and making comments such as 'the best tatical outhalf in world rubgy' with 'flawless out of hand kicking'. Huge questions have always remained defensively and his kicking out of hand has been sloppy. Destroyed on the Lions tour and in my eyes not even in the top 3 outhalfs in the NH right now.

Paul Sackey - I don't really have to say much on this one but my god did the English media hype the man to high heaven. Had a very poor 6 nations and has shown that he simply is not a world class winger like the English tried to have everyone believe.

i would of said people like wendell sailor were overhyped to be the next jonah lomu and also people like cipriani maybe was seen to be the next johnny wilkinson of england!!

Probably should of added Cipriani though his hype has seriously died down.

Actually I am not trolling I am looking for a discussion if you have a problem discussing players then stay out of the thread.

This is just trolling BUT,

POC - He's a second row. What would you expect? I think the reason why he is seen as one of the better players is because he keeps a calm head & when he has the ball in hand does his very best to make yards. He's very much in the Martin Johnson mould I believe.

Wendell Sailor - Just because he was big he had a rep, but never came close to Lomu's ability.

Chris Patterson - The shining star in an unfortunate era of scottish rugby, but just because he has a good boot doesn't make him agood fullback
