    hi, we (like alot of other firms) have downsized, in fact we have downsized to just me!! i have a computer networ (four computers) we have been advised to run spybot however i have discovered there is an "administrator" system in place stopping me running the system. i cannot contact the person who set up the system (left the country) what can i do?

    Not a lot without the admin pass, its there for a reason.

    There are methods to get around this but I cannot discuss this here.

    Hmm post count tells a lot, that software is also easily found via google but the OP didn't have the gumption ot find it so please be more careful with your advise in future.

    I remember specifically looking for that software on google one day and it took me ages to find so it's not that easy. Also a lot of the questions that get asked here could be answered using google, why shouldn't we help them when they ask here?

    UBCD (Ultimate boot CD) has a linux based registry hive editor that can change passwords on NTFS artitions. very handy to have (along with all the other tools it provides like Hard drive checking software).

    Hi, just to say thanks to those who helped! the reason we could not go online to "download" was becouse we were being blocked by "The Administrator" !!! hence our request for help. Munstercycling not everyone is out to do bad!
