I have jsut received a quote for Roman blinds of 7k and am still in shock. We have 21 windows in the house and this includes 2 bay windows which count as 6 windows in the quote. There are not huge windows. Would this be a reasonable price for roman blinds??

Sounds OK; approx €12.50 per Sq Foot plus fabric, lining, fitting and rails

Shop around, get another 2 quotes. Roman blinds are expensive, i've quotes to do 3 medium windows and it's coming in at 500. Do you need to do them all at once? What about shopping around in Homebase or Next for ready fit roman's for the rooms that arent' used too much, they tend to do neutrals, and are somewhat cheaper. Let us know how you get on!

Price actually sounds quite good depending what you are getting, huge difference in kits, fabrics & makers. Some get caught with romans that look worse than sacks on their windows. However its a ridiculous amount to spend unless you have money to spare, very few would put romans on every window. Roller or venetian blinds are more economical and often more practical.
