Has anyone EVER won an appeal on a ticket...the reason i ask is, i got a ticket from a warden in April...I had parked illegally out side an Argos shop while i picked up a large box..i was no more than 3-4 mins..there was hardly any traffic as it was 10 on a saturday morning...i arrived to the car as the warden was filling out the ticket thingy...This is exactly what happened.

    Me; Am i too late..?

TW; Ah ,you should have shouted to me....i've filled out the ticket but i havent taken any pictures...

Me; so am i ok then..?

TW ; yeah, just say you wer'nt there and with no pictures to prove it they'll ignore it..I'll just say you just drove off..

    Me ;thats sound..thanks a lot..

And thats exactly what happened.. now i know you'll say i was parked illegally and he's just doin his job blah blah...

So since i got a reminder back in april, i have appealed it and just today i received a notice of rejection...

I'm going to pay it now :(, but just wondered if anyone has ever had a similar situation....

BTW..i've seen the guy around and could easily get his number but is there any point in reporting him..?

You want to report the warden? For what, exactly?

Theres always one..... ..You're uncle still a warden Anan1 ? still sorting tickets out for ya..?....;)

For his dishonesty of course....you'll say he was only doin his job..i say if he had ,he'd have photographic proof and he would have given me the ticket.....i was talking to him for at least 3-4 minutes...

The problem i have with this situation is that anyone could get a ticket for no reason...imagine if a reminder came in your door for a parking offence and you knew it was completely wrong..you'd appeal....waste of time..once it has your reg no. you're guilty..thats the way i see it...they should have picture proof...thats why they have cameras i'd imagine....

BTW..i know i WAS illegally parked....

I'd say he was expetign you to fly off the handle and/or get physical like what has probably happened to him with some arseholes over the years, so it's easier to tell people what they want to hear to make them go away.

What did you say in the appeal? I hope you said you were never there
and not.... "I moved before ticket was completed"

This happened to me this morning. Parking on double yellow to go into the shop, been doing it for years. Finally got busted. The warden was writting the ticket and I just pulled away. Not sure if I'm going to get a ticket or not, I assume I will. He wanted to talk to me but I just drove off. Felt like a bit of a bastard doing that but I figured talking to him wasn't going to do me any good.

Anyone else ever tried the driving off thing? Does it ever work?

    Dishonesty?

He tells you he won't take the photo (I assume he didn't), but that he has to submit the ticket since he's written it already - but that "they'll" ignore it without the photo. But, as it turns out, "they" decide not to ignore it, and you end up with a fine for parking where you did.

So you want to report him for dishonesty because he tried to get you off the ticket (by not taking the photo), but due to a process out side of his control, it didn't work?

    Very nice...

    Appeal.

Its your word against his, and he didn't take the pictures to prove it like he should have.

OP's whole point was that he did appeal, but it was rejected:

Obviously it was rejected, you weren't appealing on the grounds that you didn't do it.

An appeal will only ever be successful if there's actually a chance they got it wrong.

They didn't. You were parked illegally, regardless of what conversation took place.

you came back to your car, ticket was already issued, what do expect the traffic warden to do, ask you nicely to wait on the pavement while he just does his job and takes his pictures, he was doing his job

Do all traffic wardens take a picture, never saw one in the town I am from with a camera.

No. You could go to court, but I reckon you'll get grilled.
