Getting married abroad next year but we want to have a reception back home also. Just wondering do hotels rent out rooms for this - (just want finger food)? Also any idea what prices? Anyone's experience greatly welcome!
Any idea which hotels or outdoor venue?

most hotels cater for functions.finger food is around 8 euro a head for sanwiches and cockail sausages or chicken nuggets.have you an area in particular you want the hotel.

I wouldn't imagine there'd be many hotels that would turn you down. I wouldn't tell them that you want the room for a wedding, that ups the price, I'd tell them that you are coming home from America for a holiday and want to organize a night for all your friends and family to meet up, that you might have a band, and that you'd like some finger food, strangely enough hotels tend to up their prices when they hear the W word

A cousin of mine did it last year in the Hilton Limerick but be careful they tried fleecing them for the use of the room .
