I want a baby

Me and my fiancé are talking about trying for a baby but he says in about a year or so we can get started but I am thinking I want to start trying now as the average couple can take up to a year to be able to conceive anyway then there is another 9 months before the little mite arrives so that is taking us a good 2 years ahead. He will be 31 then and I will be 29.

Do you think I am rushing into it? He does get awful broody when he is with relatives babies and he said I am really good with children and he often makes comments about "when we have kids" so I don't feel I am pressuring him as such. I don't want any old baby for the sake of having one, I want his baby.

For girls out there who have had one, be honest, what is labour like?

Maybe try TTC or Parenting fora?

Well, it can take up to a year, then again it could happen right away. Then again it could take a lot longer.

I think you should discuss it with your fiance, maybe do a bit of research first.
