I'm no fan (to put it mildly) of Bryuneel et al but this is ridiculous. Vino got caught, banned and cheated other riders of their moment of glory on the TDF pocium. He'll never ride the TDF again and I don't think their are many (probably some eejets out there) who want him any where near our sport again.
    (Rant over)

Should be only fair shoulder charging, as in Gaelic games.

"This is the team we have created in 2006 with the president of the Kazakh cycling federation, this is our baby," ...

"I have no guarantee yet because I expect to negotiate with Bruyneel in the coming days. But it's not possible that he disagrees. If Johan doesn't want me, it will be up to him to leave the team."

Sounds like he has an in with the Kazakh federation and knows they want him on the team. He is their most successful cyclist.

They also don't seem averse to signing dopers 2014_whistling_and_rolling_eyes.gif

I also thought chesting was some kind of cycling lingo. I was all prepared to try it out over the weekend: "Man, Raam totally chested everyone on that last 5km!", "Did anyone get chested in the opening stage today?"

    Oh well.

It's going to be a Mexican Stand off, Kazah Fed has the UCI License, Johan has the sponsor deals for Bikes, etc ..who goes with who would be interesting. I can see Astana falling apart after the Vuelta.

Recent news from the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) added to Astana's financial difficulties. The Court ruled that Bruyneel's company, Olympus sarl, must pay former rider Vladimir Gusev 654,166.67 euros for irregular dismissal. The company is also expected to pay the Gusev 5% interest since November 27, 2008 and 25,000 Swiss francs for his legal expenses, in addition to 75% of the cost of the CAS procedure.

I tink its funny the way that different people say different things. LA saying there was no money for the team but didn't mention this :)

No no -- Contador can write his own ticket here -- and have some input into his riders. This is good for Contador......

We are all speculating but at the end of the TdF we will know for sure if Alberto or Lance is number one on that team... with only 9 riders on the team they surely can't support both LA and AC.
