Thought this was the best place to ask since everyone here knows about Apple.

I'm thinking about getting a 3GS, still not certain.

The only problem is I don't currently have a credit card.

Would it be possible to just buy iTunes Store Gift Cards in the o2 shop the same time I'm buying the iPhone and use them to buy apps?

And is there an extra charge on them?

Also, it appears it's not possible to make a new account without a credit card?

Because you have to enter the info. signing up, is this right?

    Thanks a lot guys.

Using the iTunes Gift Cards is as simple as entering a redeem code and getting the funds added to your balance, no extra charges are involved and you can get them in values up to €50 - http://store.apple.com/ie/browse/home/giftcards/itunes_cards

You don't need a Credit Card to create a new iTunes account - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
