Any ideas on a reasonably priced starter espresso machine? Have made a decision on grinder.
Some of the prices are ridiculous.
Any place in Galway to buy machine or is going abroad the only option.

My advice would be to not pick up any of the sub-100 euro machines, it's a false economy and the results will frustrate you. Keep an eye out for a
decent second hand machine or look at a reconditioned machine direct
    from the manufacturer.

Buying a decent grinder is a must.

    What grinder are you buying?

Is a machine much better? I have my espresso pot and it seems to do the job perfectly.

Spend your money on a grinder, get a moka pot and save for your machine.

I recently picked up a 10 year old commercial grinder, stripped it down, cleaned it and rebuilt it and it has improved my espresso no end. I'm still using 10 year old burrs (replacements ordered) and it produces a better grind and better espresso than my domestic grinder.

I never believed that a grinder was really that important, but I do now.
