    Hi Everyone!

Hope I'm posting in the right forum :)

I'm an artist looking to make professional quality prints of my work.

So wondering can any of you recommend

    A) somewhere that can professionally scan (if this is what is normal practice??) work that is approx a2 in size

    B) a printer that does artist prints (ie. on good quality, acid free paper)
...that won't cost an arm and a leg - cos I need em ;)

    Thanks in advance :)

At one time you would find someone offering drum-scanning, which is still high end scanning, but scanner quality has improved so much that a flat-bed scan could be a quality that would suit you.
The kind of scanning and printing you are talking about is expensive and technical, and the only way is to do a lot of research, then test with a smaller image to see if they are doing the quality you need.
    This site http://www.fineprintimaging.com/scanning.htm
gives some idea of the file sizes and prices you would be looking at. I am not recommending anyone as I am out of the business too long to know what is currently available.

They sell prints of other peoples work at Deviant Art and you make a profit so they'll more than likely print some of your own work for you at a lower price
