Youp I am soft buy I was just wondering if you runners wear anything special in the rain. What specifically do I need to run in the rain.

I was thinking a second pair of shoes for that bad weather -- alternating daily so that I am always running it dry shoes.

Second pair of runners is good.

If the rain is heavy I'll wear a waterproof zipped top (nike, adidas etc. all have a good range of these). Quite light and breathable, so makes things a bit more sweaty but not too bad. Worth spending a few quid on this, as I've had some cheap ones and it's like running in a raincoat. Not nice.

Cool, Thanks. -- any suggestions or just one of those ones in Lifestyle sports (I thought they were warm up tops). I have some cycling specific ones but don't want to appear lame.

If you're buying a jacket from somewhere like Lifestyle and you're not sure about it, maybe try it on and even jog on the spot in the shop or something. If it's not designed for running and is bulky/long/loose it will be a bit annoying. Not the end of the world, but a bit of a shame when you could get something more suitable.

    Lidl running jackets are brilliant.

On sale next Thursday. Very cheap and can stand up to being machine washed after each run.

+1. I've run plenty of 32km long runs in them and never had any problems.
