Can't offer any opinions on that specific model, but there was a thread a few months back on something similar. Looks to be the same idea.

I also looked into getting a clip on seatpost pannier rack for my Specialized, but decided against it as it has a carbon seatpost and I didn't think it would be the best for the seatpost. I wanted it for commuting purposes only and the ability to easily remove it when out for spins. In the end I got a a Charge Plug fixed geared bike through the bike to work scheme and use a seatpost rack on this with no issues. Means my decent road bike doesn't get destroyed by a daily commute and I had a bike to knock around on with the kids.

Does your bike not have eyelets for a 'normal' type rack???

If not, we discussed the issue here. There are some adapters you can buy to overcome this.

They are heavier and carry less than a traditional rack, there is also the carbon seatpost issue if you have one of those. They also mount quite high up compared to a traditional rack. Plus point is that they remove very quickly.

Another alternative is the seatpost mounted backpack linked to above.

Yet another alternative is to mount a traditional rack withs P-Clips, presuming you have a non-carbon frame and you are not precious about scratching it. This is probably a bit more sturdy than a seatpost mounted rack but it is still a bit more wobbly than a rack attached to a rack with braze-ons and you would have a lower weight limit I reckon. You will get it lower than a seatpost rack but not as low as with braze-ons.

I tried this last one and it was OK but I was never really happy with it compared to racks I have attached properly to other bikes.

What bike do you have? I am presuming no mounting points for a rack.

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me out. I too have a Charge Plug, and am trying to work out how to fit a pair of Ortlieb panniers. Could you tell me which seatpost rack you use and any other advice on how it works? Many thanks!

On my second one at this stage, the first one I got the side frames broke from the pannier bags vibrating. I have this one now which I got in Halfords and is working well as it is a lot stronger then the 1st one I got.

An expensive but perhaps more satisfactory alternative to mounting a rack with p clips?
