How long are FE-1s valid for?

    Hi guys,

I've emailed the Law Soc asking for clarification but the answer I got wasn't really clear enough.

Is it the case that you have as long as you want to pass the eight exams but once you do so, you have five years from the time you pass the last exam to begin training as a solicitor?

My worry is that I might do all exams and then by the time I get a training contract, the FE-1s would have expired. So I could leave passing the last exam until I know I've gotten a training contract?

    Thanks in advance!

The 5 years starts ticking down from the day you successfully pass all 8 exams. The best advice is exactly what ur thinking, only do the last exam when you know you have something secured ;)
