Exciting times - A series of gigs to celebrate 10 years of thumped.com kicks off on July 4th with The Dudley Corporation & Giveamanakick, playing together exactly 1 year to the day since they last played together. Spooky.

    THE DUDLEY CORPORATION
The Dudley Corporation are Mark, Joss and Dudley. They first played live in January 2000 and now, almost 10 years and 250 gigs later, they're getting set for LP number 4. 'The Lonely World of The Dudley Corporation' brought their first forays to the US and UK, 'In Love With The Dudley Corporation' brought further visits to the US, Iceland, and mainland Europe, a listing for 59th greatest Irish LP of all time (Hot Press), and a top-30 single in the Irish chart, then album number 3, 'Year of the Husband' was released in 2008 with Rob Bochnik (The Frames/Smog) at the helm, and featuring recordings from the legendary Inner Ear (Fugazi) studios in Washington DC. The album featured sleeve art by Rick Froberg, of Obits/Hot Snakes/Drive Like Jehu, received fantastic reviews and copperfastened the Corpo's status as Dublin's finest indie rock power trio. Year of the Husband saw the Corpo moving in more angular directions than before, while maintaining an ear for tunes. Like their stop/start quiet/loud indie rock, the Corpo's touring schedule has slowed significantly. July 4th represents a rare chance to see a wodge of sturdy new Corpo tunes.

    GIVEAMANAKICK
Steveamanakick and Giveamanakeith = Giveamanakick. Two Limerick boys, ear shattering guitars, coronary inducing drumming, a disturbing use of gas masks and a self deprecating sense of humour, giveamanakick knee you in the stomach and then pummel you while you’re down.

POGO Club bumps the Basement focusing on the underground house & techno world with weekly residents, monthly Electric Shock parties and international guests. In the Stage & Cafe POGO also teams up with top Dublin promoters & crews like of Choicecuts, Scribble & Global pulling together all things soul/funk/hip-hop and disco, as well as indie/rock n roll collectives including Psychotic Reaction & Thumped.com. update: Alan O'Boyle (Decal / Legion of Two), Rachel Jordan (2XM) and Stan Bowles (off the internet) will be DJing at this gig.

SO... how about a pair of passes to the first person to PM me?
