Toshiba, Teleplan, horror stories

I've just sent my Toshiba Equius laptop (still in warranty for another couple of months) back for repairs. It's being sent to a company in Colchester UK called "Teleplan."
It has been overheating and cutting out any time I stream video, transfer large amounts of data or play games.
I've been looking around online tonight and have been horrified by the sheer volume of really negative feedback and stories about Teleplan. They seem to have a track record of finding any excuse they can to say that the warranty is void and charge a fortune for repairs.
Apparantly they are very difficult to get around.
I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them and want to know if anybody has actually had their laptops fixed without hassle?

By the way, I think (but I'm not sure) that Teleplan also look after in warranty repairs for Sony Vaio.
