hi i have had a claud butler urban 200 for a while now nd simple do not have enough money to save up for a new bike so i was wondering would it be possible to put new skinny wheels on this bike nd maybe some new handlebars or is this a stupid idea.
    thanks

You just need to replace the tyres and tubes, not the wheels- you could go a fair bit narrower (and more to the point slicker) than the 700x40c on it as standard. Why do you want new handlebars- if you mean could you put drop bars on it effectively the answer is "no"; technically you could but the cost of conversion would be prohibitive and a waste of time on that bike.

sry i meant some bar ends on it nd thanks for advice on wheels nd tyres. also how thin should i go with the tyres nd would this improve overall performance a bit

More important than how thin is that you have a good slick thread and inflate to the correct pressure. If you are going from 700x40c maybe try going to 700x28c. Gatorskins are a good durable slick that go up to 700x28c.

Regarding bar ends, yes, they are easy to fit- you just slice off the end of the grips, move the gear/brake levers in, and clamp the bar ends on the end of the bars.
