How Do I Join The Army?

    Sorry, I realise this might seem stupid, but I've been up and down what I thought were the appropriate websites but I can't sem to find solid info on how to actually join the Irish army.

    Ther best I can find is a phone number for Collins Barracks.
    I assume it's not as straight forward as phoning them and asking if there are nay jobs going?

    Doubt it as theres a recruitment freeze on the defence forces and pretty much any other government job at the mo

    They won't be recruiting again until around 2011 is what I was told.
