Guinness are sending a lucky winner into space as part of the 250th anniversary celebrations. They sent me an email today to inform me so of course i tried to go put my name in the hat for the draw only for it to tell me that the competition is not running in our country.

Bit of a disgrace that the competition is not running in the country where the drink was created. What do you think of this fellow Irelanders ?

The whole point of the competition is to promote Guinness and I don't really think Guinness need much promotion in Ireland.

Not really space, only about 50,000 feet

But yeah, it sucks that Ireland is excluded

yeah i dont think it needs to be promoted here. its seen as an old mans drink but when i go out a lot of my friends drink it, so its coming back into fashion, still stupid we're excluded though

OP wants to enter a competition for guinness
    OP doesnt drink guinness
    OP thinks guinness is "unfashionable"
OP doesnt know who james may is.

    are you female?

Seems like a needless P.R. screw-up. I mean if there's only one prize why do they care how many people enter. Surely it's the more the merrier,it isn't costing them any more.

Although is it just me or does it sound kinda...dirty
The final winner and two friends will get an exclusive live performance by The Black Eyed Peas at an intimate recording studio as part of their forthcoming world tour.

Could a boycott like that really last? This is Guinness we're talking about here.

We Irish aren't fit for space.

We should be spending more time farming and preparing the potato crop for the coming winter. If we were to go into space, who would milk the cows?

Of course there are! I'm a student, I would know. But Guinness is just the drink. It's the drink. My personal favourite anyway.
