I’m looking at buying the ultimate commuting rucksack, if it exists!!
I need it to carry a shirt, suit trousers, towel, shower bag, rain grear etc……
It doesn’t need to hold a laptop….needs to be waterproof…..needs a wet compartment.
Just interested in what other people are using out there.

I’m looking at this bag, albeit a bit pricey!!

    Tks
PS if this thread has already happened, would you post the link up, cheers

I use a number of Deuter bags. The rainproof cover is not entirely failsafe. However, put your items in a plastic bag inside the bag and you'll be fine.
Towel stays in work, if that is an option for you, go for it as it saves space in the bag.
The one I use mostly is a shade smaller than your one: Race Exp Air

I use a Timbuk2 Messenger bag, much mure practical I find than an back pack and so far it's been good with the rain.

Bought one of these Hi-Vis Rucksack / Backpack Cycling,Walking, Orange myself on Ebay , 19euro delivered to the door . Not as big as the one you are looking at but I find it excellent and has a reasonably good capacity .

I have a small burghaus rucsack I got from an outdoor shop. I call it my Sport Billy bag because for the size of it it holds a lot! Lots of pockets, expansion nets and also has a section for a bladder (which is never used). I leave towl, toiletries and shoes in work.

Oh, waterproof is relative so I always wrap my clothes in a plastic bag inside the rucsack.

I have a Berghaus Freeflow 20 litre. Capacity is a little limited because of the curved back panel, which keeps it off your back so less sweat.
I bought it in Millets in Blanch Centre, D15. Online UK price is around £45.

The new versions have a lot more vents in the straps and back webbing.
It has a rain cover stored in the base.
I have used it comfortably running too - tighten the straps to limit movement.

I have 3 different sized Gelert rucksacks. Bought in the camping store off Capel st.
They are very comfy and ergo shaped. Three compartments and slim fitting. Would highly rec.

Millets on Mary Street do Gelert gear cheap. I got two rucksacks for a tenner in there about 6 years ago and they were both in great condition until I stood on one of the clips of the small one I use every day - top quality gear

I hve the same bag and its excellent. The external pocket keeps my lock tubes, pupm stc in and inside there a top pocket for my keys, wallet, phone.

Clothes et, including shoes, all fit fine in the bag.

I have this 30 litre Deuter bag and it's excellent. Only downside is it's a little long so if you'd need to be reasonably tall for it not to hit the back of your helmet if you wear one.

Great bag as it's not that bulky when you just have a few things in it but can take a fair bit of gear when needed. Helmet pouch on the front and good mesh pockets for bottles/pumps and a top pocket on the front and an internal pocket I find handy. Agree with Raam that it shouldn't be trusted to be 100% watertight in torrential rain but I've never had a problem when leaving my phone in the internal pocket.

What I like most about the bag is that there's plenty of room for adjustment in the straps and when it's positioned right I barely even know it's there even though it might have 10kg in it if I'm carrying a laptop and gear.

I have that one as well. Its excellent and I can carry a full change of clothes and my work kit which is about the same size as a laptop.
Only issue is on a road bike it tends to knock off the helmet when you're down on the drops, minor issue I know but bugs the sh*te of me at times !
