I've managed to lose the logbook to my old car which is beyond salvageable and now needs to be scrapped - it is parked in a public area and has been there for a couple of weeks so i need to get it scrapped

Can anyone advise how i go about scrapping my car without a logbook? or how do i get a new logbook? (ie where would i go to get it scrapped for free?)

It is an old 96 ford fiesta and i'm in dublin if anyone wants to come and take it for parts for free (be warned the engine is burned out completely)

thanks in advance for the advice

You can download the RF134 form for a replacement VLC from here:

    https://www.motortax.ie/OMT/pdf/RF134_en.pdf

Fill it out ,get it signed by the Gardai and bring it into your local motor tax office. Don't think you can scrap it without the registration documents to be honest.

Put it on adverts to trailer away for free. Although without cert the next guy is not legally the owner.

Never had a problem getting a car removed without a logbook, I was made sign a consent for its removal & disposal alright by one of the breakers, and then had a Cert of Destruction issued to me.
