Was due to sign in yesterday, I missed it. What should I say? Will I need a sick note or something?

Pop into your local office first thing in the morning and tell them that you missed it by a genuine mistake , if dont get into them quickly when you go to pick up your money next week , there will be nothing there for you !

This happened to me , didnt even know I missed the sign on day , went in to get my money and there was nothing there ! Had to go up to the socail office where they allowed me to sign on there after I explained ,that I thought you got a letter each month to sign on . Got no money that week but they gave me a double week the next week.
