I live in RoI and I have a Sky Digibox (regular not Sky+). My subscription has ended, so when I scroll through the EPG, most of the channels aren't available to me any more.

I followed the Sticky "Tuning Guide For All UK FTA Channels" last night and got all my FTA channels under "Services", "Other Channels". The problem now is that everytime I want to change channels, I have to go to "Services", "Other Channels". I can't even scroll through the FTA channels with the arrow keys, as the arrow keys seem to scroll through the main Sky EPG.

Do I have to continue to use the main Sky EPG (with RTE1, RTE2, etc on it) and just try to remember which channels are FTA while scrolling through?

I have no Sky card in the box that I can see - the slot looks empty - but I still have the Irish EPG.

    Thanks

    Try the following.

1.Put your Sky Card back in the box assuming you still have it.
    2.Select Sky News, channel 501.
    3.Press the red button .
4.When the Sky News Interactive screen loads up, pull out your viewing card.
    5.Press the back up button.

You should then see the screen say "searching for channels".

Eventually the UK EPG loads up and away you go!

BBC1,2,ITV,Channel 4, E4,More4,ITV2,3,4 to name a few should be all there in the clear.

Thanks for that. Problem is I never had a Sky card (unless it is buried in the Sky Box somewhere?). My subcription ran out last week andI haven't changed a thing, other than loading the FTA channels as the Sticky set out.

So, no Sky Card - what do I do now?

thats interesting- a sub without a card!

Anyway, some people have posted in the past that a card such as a bank card, dunnes card or other cards the same as the sky card will do the trick,so you could try that.

Thanks, will try that. Maybe I'm missing something - there's a slot on the front right of the Sky Box for an "Interactive Card". As I look at theslot, it looks empty, unless the card goes all the way into the box and I can't see it?

That has been the case since I first got the subscription. The subscription ran out last week (I cancelled it) and only now are the usual channels not available (RTE1, RTE2 etc).

I'll try what you suggest with a bank card and see what happens. I presume the English EPG is closer to the list of FTA channels so less scrolling?

    Thanks.

There'll be a little door on the front right hand side of the box, if you open it, you'll find your sky card.

theres usually 2 slots on the box, one interactive, one for sky viewing card. Viewing card slot is what u use.

Irish epg is of no use without an active sub. the uk epg is best option with no sub and get RTE off standard roof aerial.
