I find it v irritating that RTE / TV3 will not televise a good old Cork v's Offaly clash this sat evening. It should make for a lively game of hurling. I think RTE are showing the Armagh football game and I think its crazy. BBC are probably already covering that match. Does anyone know is their any internet channel showing the cork v offaly game?

Jaysus I thought they'd show it on RTE I would definetly have watched it.To be Honest though if it was on TV3 i wouldnt watch it anyway theres something about TV3 and GAA that doesnt feel right to me RTE and the sunday game is part of the GAA and thats wat TV3 is missing. But one or the other should be showing the match.

I know its shocking - Could TG4 show matches as essentially they are a part of RTE...

I really would have thought that an Offaly Cork clash would be televised!!

tv fixtures were picked months ago, and the schedule would have said one qualifier from the list. given the fact that these teams would have been 1/4 final loosers, it would have been conceiveable that there would not have been a hurling game on this weekend.

armagh v monaghan is a huge game.

yeah for the football fans but what about for the hurling ones.
Well couldn't they just change the fixtures now???
Aint no big deal, I don't mind missing something like...ER, for the sake of the hurling match.

People are aware the game is on in Offaly right? Its not exactly a round the world trip if people are that interested they'll get there tbh, Im not from either county and I'll probably wander up to it and as homejay eluded to TV deals and packages etc are not as cut and dry as people seem to think, its not just a matter of saying ''ummm thats an interesting draw we'll televise that''

i totally agree.... the 90's rocked for gaa! every team had a sporting chance of winning, and it wasn't confined to a few good teams

    Qualifiers have wrecked it.

Kilkenny would dominate regardless, at least we get to see our county play a few more times then usual thanks to the qualifiers.

Its not impossible - if Offaly get a good start and flake into Cork, they have every chance IMO

RTE and BBC are not going to decide what matches they show between them!

Armagh and Monaghan is the tie of the weekend, so naturally RTE would want to show it. Not everyone can get BBC don't forget, even nowadays. If you really want to see the Offaly v Cork match, then go to it. Even if it was on television, there is nothing like being there.
