    Just downloaded it.

I find it faster than even the new Safari!

Anyone else find it as quick or faster? Especially loading pages like gmail.

I love the gestures implemented in it. Mozilla hid one though. Read more about it here

Disappointed to find video playback can be choppy particularly YouTube.

Before anyone asks I've a 10mb connection and everything plays fine in Safari.

Could elaborate? I haven't noticed this, I don't watch youtube videos that much though. Is the 'choppiness' limited only to youtube? what's your system like too? any youtube related addons installed? or noteworthy addons that might be causing the issue?

Strange that this is the first of this issue I've come across, been using 3.5 since it was in beta.

Choppy video playback is 99% either your internet connection or the crappy server system publishing the video content.

A 10 MBits/sec internet connection is irrelevant in this context.

Try watching a video on a decent quality video service such as vimeo.com in HD. If it is choppy, it is your ISP. If it is OK, it is youtube is the problem. Not FF 3,5.

Watch this video - http://www.vimeo.com/5399485 - click the full screen option. It should be perfect!

Poor flash performance in Firefox on the Mac is a know problem. Its a combination of Firefoxs subpar Flash plug-in and Adobes seeming lack of ability to properly optimise Flash for OSX. Until Adobe fixes both issues or Mozilla finds a work around Flash will always run better in a webkit browser on a mac.

I've a dual core Imac with 3gb of RAM.

The proble is primarily with Youtube but i've noticed it with RTE too. It was the same with FF 3.

    Will try that link later.

I don't have the problem with Safari which lends me to think it's FF.

I've a few extensions installed but no YouTube or video specific ones.

I tried that Vimeo clip. It plays fine which means its YouTube.

Strange that FF can't handle YouTube as well as Safari. Is this because of

Can't guarantee it will work but the following speed tweaks seem to have had the bonus effect of improving flash performance

Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit Enter.

    Alter the entries as follows:
    Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
    Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 9.

Lastly, right-click anywhere and select New–> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0“

Another qeastion for people who are having Flash problems, do you have foxietunes installed? Uninstalling has fixed a lot of performance issues for me.
