    Hey guys,

I have always been interested in piano music and while watching Twilight on youtube, I heard this most beautiful piano melody. Clair De Lune by Dubasy so I youtub'd his music and found loads of stuff but I couldn't find any where that sold any of his stuff. I was wondering if you guys knew where I could find his stuff and if you could recommend any piano complications like Clair De Lune.

    Thanks guys

    Hali

I used to play a dumbed down version of clair de lune when I was younger :pac:
I'm not sure what you're asking, go to opus 2

Oh cool, I would love be able to play that. I love piano music. There's just something about it that is so haunting if that's the correct term.

I am asking if any one can recommend any other pianists like that as I am still very new to the music. And if any one knows where I can get music like Debussy.

Halistra, if you want haunting piano work in a similar mood, try some of Erik Satie's work, enter Satie or Gnossienne or Gymnopédie into YouTube.. and have a listen.

Your onto a winner with debussy. All his piano works are fantastic, he'd be my favourite composer. Check out images and preludes first. Clair de lune is part of the bergmasque suite. Its the third of four, the others are fantastic also.

His other work is amazing too. You may not be into orchestra stuff but give this a listen you might like it

That's cool I will defo check that out. I have to admit I only heard of Debusy from the book Twilight and then I heard it on the sound track and I was just blown away! My parents listen to some music like that but this was nothing compared to them. His songs are amazing and I am a absolute beginner at this but this is really helpful, thank you so much guys. =)

There is a lot of really good classical music out there that people don't listen to just because of the image it has. I only started get into it last year and am really enjoying it. Dive right in and your ears will thank you for it

Lol yea, I didn't listen to it because my parents would play this stuff that was just not my taste but then I heard Debusy, my ears are starting to thank me for it and forgiving me for making them listen only to metal rock =). I have them all book marked for later today when I get my speakers back off my bro. I don't think my laptop speakers would give the music justice.

Let us know what you think of the other stuff. You mightn't like the charles ives one but i threw it in just for a bit of variety.
Edit: I can't help myself i have to give you another link. Its a solo piano by Charles Mingus. If you like this it will get you into jazz. Its got a similar dreamy theme to it like some debussy stuff. Its not on you tube but go to www.grooveshark.com and type in "myself when i am real" and play the charles mingus one. I think you'll like it. Listen to this before listening to the Ives one.
