making free apps work in ipod touch?

    I just got an app from a friend of mine in the us, its a free app but its only availible in the us and I tried syncing it to my ipod but it wont work because Im not authorized to use it on my pc, does anyone know how I can get it to work? I have a first get ipod touch with 3.0 jailbroken and have checked installious and the app isnt there

    Create yourself a US account. Use Google to find an Address and Zip code.

    And as you do not have a US credit card (I am assuming) you can actually skip this step and still set up an iTunes account (yes, I have done it).

    You can then sync your US account and associated apps to your iPod Touch.

    thanks dude but it wont let me skip without putting in credit card info, it askes me to select a different country if Im not in the us will that just take me back to the irish store?

    Hmmmmm, I was full sure I set up a US account to get an app, without a credit card.

    Anyway, have a look at this. ;)

    Apple got wind of that workaround a few months ago and stopped people registering US accounts without credit cards.

    Your other option is to jailbreak your phone and install the app manually

    Anyway, the error sounds like you need to authorise your computer using your friends iTunes Store details.

    thats what Im trying to do, I have my ipod jailbroken but dont know how to namualy install apps, all the tutts ive seen say to ust installious
