iPod Touch Syncing

I recently purchased my first ever iPod in America. Whilst there I used my brother's iTunes to sync some songs on to there (as well as a few video files and some applications). Now that I am home I would like to override the songs that are already there but keep the applications/videos.

Sorry if this seems like such a simple question, but I have no idea otherwise :P

When you go to sync an iPod/iPhone with a different iTunes library, you should be prompted if you want to change what library the device is to sync with, i.e. only one is possible.

If you select to sync with your own iTunes library, whatever music, movies and apps you had on your device will be erased and replaced with your new library.

Yes, it's a PITA! It's not too bad if your apps are free. There could be Apple-supported workarounds for paid apps if you purchased them with your own iTunes account on someone else's computer but, even if so, can't say I'm familiar with them.

    Hope this helps.
