    Good.

Nothing match, no sense in risking him.
If he could stay, but then got a bad injury, I would be deeply unhappy.

Good move ..........better to be cautious.... .The tour is over now so the last match isn't so important...

Modern day gladiator. Gave everything for Club, Nation and Lions in a fantastic season that should be seen in the context to last season when he was savaged. God knows how hard he worked physically and mentally to maintain the form he has in the last 6 months.

Really hope that Declan and Cheika give him a decent rest and that he has a decent program to keep him fit for the WC.

I really believe that he can lead this Irish team to their first win over the AB's.

Crappy way to end a tour, and especially disappointing considering what happened in 2005. Very unfortunate that he played on 3 losing tours. He contributed brilliantly to both the 2001 and 2009 tours; the less said about the NZ debacle the better.

According to IRFU schedule there is no autumn match against the All Blacks - S.Africa/Fiji/Australia provide the opposition in November.

Yeah....... I was thinking that it will be 2010 before we see the Blacks again at the earliest. Wonder will Drico still be the man then?. S'pose he will injury permitting.

Can someone answer why it is that the players are sent home immediately when it's confirmed that they will not take further part. Is it to save money?

I would imagine BOD would like to stay and support and watch and cheer the final game!

BOD as quoted on BBC rugby:
"I have decided to return home to my family this week after a very long season and to ensure I give myself every opportunity to recuperate"

Quite why BOD would want to stay on to watch what is shaping up to be a real humilation of a final test is beyond me. I have managed to watch every match of the tour but I am seriously wondering about putting myself through it this Saturday - so I can only imagine how the team and extended squad feel. Still they did their best and what more can we ask? The 'so-called' World Champions haven't exactly shone and if they run away with things in the final test it will be purely due to injuries rather than ability on the Lions side. Roll on the Heineken Cup and good sportsmanship!!

Didn't Stephen Ferris stay on at least until after the first test?
