Is there any online archive of Irish newspapers?

    hello:
there are two such digital archives that I know of, but neither are free online: one is the Irish Times Digital Archive (self-explanatory) and the other is the Irish Newspaper Archives (Independent group and provincial titles too). Both are subscription based. I'd imagine that UCC subscribe to both, so if you could gain access to their library you could do some research on their network. good luck with your research

The Irishexaminer.com archive goes back to 26 April 2006. The Grand Parade library would be the place go if you want to go back further.

Thanks for the replies, I'm just surprised that it's so hard to find a site with scans of the daily Irish papers.
