    Hi all,

I am using my own headphones for the iPhone. Is there a way of pausing/resuming the iPod functions without having to unlock (and entering passcode)?

    Thanks,
    Keith.

If you double tap the control button at the bottom of the phone a simple iPod control will appear allowing you to pause/resume, skip song and change volume. This only works when the Ipod is playing

You can also pause the playback with the original iPhones headset by "squeezing" the microphone button on the headset.

Double-squeeze to jump to the next song.

Triple-squeeze to go to the previous song too.
